Multi-brand replacement hatch seal common on Dagger Hurricane Hatch Covers, circa 2002, and older kayaks with the Sure Seal Hatch System, circa 1990s, such as the Dagger Apostle (see note below). (FYI: Dagger Hurricane Hatch Covers are NOT made by or found on Hurricane brand kayaks.) May fit other makes and models of kayaks. The Jackson Cuda Center Hatch, measures about 28 inches long by 8.25 inches wide, will require about 7 feet of the Type C Gasket. Sold by the foot.HATGAS
This gasket is generic with a smaller diameter that the Type B Gasket. It is typically used on hard hatch covers of assorted sizes. Sold by the foot! Please select length carefully, get extra, it will be needed. Not all kayak makes and model of kayak are outfitted with this exact seal. See image (right) for cross section view and compare to old seal, or contact Tom for additional support, at link above. Tube dia is 3/8 in. U-Channel is 1/2 in. deep.
Adhesive is not needed. See video. If you feel you must have glue use 3M weather strip adhesive, or similar glue, from a hardware store.
This Gasket is Sold By the Foot. Select the number of feet you want and a piece will be cut to length for you.
