The neoprene seat back cover of my Perception Shadow kayak has been ripped and rethreaded/stitched for years and constantly gets torn again in the middle of excursions. This seat back pad fits over the entire seat back almost perfectly, even with the original ripped cover still on, hiding and protecting the rip. Additionally, it creates lower back support, that I never had from the original seat and gives the 20 year old boat a clean aesthetic to the cockpit and creates much more comfort for long paddling days.
