The type B hatch gasket and installation video are just right for my Wilderness Systems Freedom kayak. A 10’ piece was more than enough, leaving a generous nearly 2’ comfort factor. I am confident that IF the gasket is properly seated no adhesive is necessary, just as you advised. The trick of rolling up a bit of tubing at the joint is a nice touch and further secures gasket from peeling possibility without adhesive. Seating the gasket is paramount....I tried twice unsuccessfully before realizing it was not fully seated.
