Since there are no instructions or at least a diagram, you kinda wing it. It took me more time figuring it out than installing it. This kit does not easily direct bolt to the Dagger Axis. You don't need to drill anything but it does take some finesse. Hint, it does not fit over the coaming. Adding the ratchet strap and back band makes the Axis a nice boat. If you go that route, check and make sure that the ratchet strap will release like it should. I had to cut out a bit more of the opening so the teeth of the strap didn't catch on the plastic.
