First of all, this is a very good seat. I am a large older guy with back issues and the lumbar support is a very good part of this seat. The only issue I see at all is with the rear strap down? They don't seem to keep the back in the up position. Maybe I am connecting something wrong? That is the only issue I have with this seat. I no longer have to take my heavy crate with me now. You can put just about any tackle in the cases provided. I would say 4&1/2 rating because of my issue with the back support Straps.
Thanks and thank you TOPKAYAKER (TOM)
A note to all from Tom…
Some tinkering is required. You can raise or lower the rear brass clips on the rear seat straps. This makes the Gone Fishing Big Back Seat DLX very adaptable to a wide range of sit-on kayaks. Typically it is best to make the rear straps as tight as can be, in many cases almost lifting the seat out of the cockpit. Front strap can be adjusted for comfort and support 2nd.
