Mounting hardware and sealant are not included. Best used as a replacement hatch system for cracked rims and damaged covers. The cover alone can be used as a replacement for a lost cover, fits an 8 inch OD rim. The cover has internal and external tie-offs for a leash. Cover is 8.75 inches outside diameter.
The hatch rim has a footprint of 9.25 inches outside diameter. The opening is 7.5 inches inside diameter. The raised hatch rim lip is 8 inches outside diameter. The kit can be applied to any kayak with a flat deck space of about 9.75 inches in diameter.
Performance version hatch cover. Made in the USA by Sea-Lect. Instructions are not included. Full retro-fit instructions are available by request (use comments box at check out). This kit is roughly equivalent to the 8 inch Harmony Hatch Kit (kit number 8025322) but does not include sealant and hardware, use links to original Harmony kit components 20cm Cover and 20cm Rim. This is also a retrofit option for serious sea kayakers to perform a complete re-install, for replacement of a lost round Compass Rose Hatch Cover, eight point star pattern. The old WS cover was black and is no longer made (WS part no. 3305-1107). The old cover was common on the Cape Lookout; 135, 145, 155 2003-2004. Contact Tom for detailed instructions.
