Reflective static deck line employs a highly visible 3M tracer that offers outstanding nighttime visibility. Replace your old perimeter ropes, or add new. Deck line is useful for a safety cord along each side of the kayak; make a bow harness for anchoring and towing. Deck Line can be used for all sorts of things like bow stern tie downs for your car or as anchor rope. (This is not bungee shock cord.) Approximately 1/4 inch diameter, solid core braided.
Please Note! A Wilderness Systems Tempest (circa 2005) is outfitted with Black 5mm Cord, same diameter as this cord. Some Perception brand sea kayaks are reported be outfitted with Reflective 5mm Cord. Expect many kayaks made overseas, Europe mostly, to be outfitted with 4mm static cord.
Please measure the diameter of your old cord (or the deck fitting holes) carefully! If in doubt, the smaller diameter may be the better choice. Or, get both 4mm and 5mm, extra rope is handy to have on board.
