Use with replacement rudder cables. Thimbles are commonly found on surf skis and many kayaks outfitted with rudders. Thimble is 7/8 in. long, 3/8 in. inside diameter, 3/16 inch thick, for wire diameter 1/16 - 3/32 in. Can be used with a shackle. See diagram for Stainless Steel Rudder Cable Thimble use. Some Wilderness Systems kayaks (and other brands) are outfitted with double eyelet rudder cables. Use the Thimble and Shackle Set on the stern end to connect cables to the rudder wings. Use the eyelet to fasten to the foot brace rail.
Some surf skis utilize both Stainless Steel Thimbles and Rudder Shackles.
