As of Fall 2025, Surf to Summit, probably the best ever SOT seat maker ever, no longer makes GTS seats. GTS seat packs are still available separately while supply lasts.

The GTS Elite Kayak Seat (shown above) was for use with standard Sit-on-Top Kayaks. This was an exceptionally tall and cushy seat for those who require maximum comfort. The Grand Touring Seat Elite provides greater support and more comfort for those who need and want a very comfortable ride. Best for taller paddlers or those with bad backs. The back support is 18 inches high by 20 wide. Seat pad is 14 in. wide by 12 in. front to back, more than 1 inch thick.

The GTS Sport Kayak Seat was for use with Sit-on-Top kayaks. It was the Ultimate in comfort and performance. The Sport version of the Grand Touring Seat is best choice for active, average size paddlers who want or need extra comfort. The seat back is 12.5 tall by 23 in. wide. Seat pad is 14 wide by 12 in. front to back, 3/4 in. thick. Came with an integrated seat. Pack size is 9 tall by 8 wide by 2 in. deep. Add-on packs can not be used with the GTS Sport seat.

The GTS Expedition Seat was for use with Sit-on-Top kayaks. The Grand Touring Seat Expedition provides the ultimate in touring comfort, greater padding and support for those who need and want a very comfortable seat. The back support is 18 inches high, seat pad is 2 inches thick, 18 in. wide by 16 in. front to back. A large net pocket was common on the rear side.

The GTS Pro Kayak Seat was for use with Sit-on-Top kayaks. A kayak seat designed for hours of continuous paddling. The bottom pad is an oversized, 2 inch thick EVA Comfort foam pad. An innovative triangular strapping tension system locks the seat into place improving both comfort and support. The Grand Touring Seat Pro was developed primarily with the kayak fisherman in mind. Its enhanced features like the oversized bottom pad accommodate the larger seat wells that are common on many of the new fishing kayaks. The 2 inch extra thick thermoformed EVA foam padding of the bottom section of the seat minimizes leg fatigue and helps the angler maintain comfort throughout a long day of fishing. Seat pad is 17 in. wide by 15 in. front to back. The foam molded upper backrest portion is 15 inches tall, without sacrificing any support, for the sole purpose of enhancing paddler access to the rear of a kayak, tank well and hatch section.

GTS seat packs are still sold separately while supply lasts. All GTS packs are interchangeable and removable. Add the pack of your choice as a separate item in your shopping cart. GTS seat packs are best used with GTS seats. Use with any other seats is expected to require a custom adaptation.
