CD Sirocco Skeg Guard

Best used as a replacement skeg slot frame for Current Designs Sirocco kayaks (plastic hull).

The dimensions of this Skeg Slot Frame are 17 inches in total length, 1 7/8 inches wide. The interior slot is about 16 1/4 inches long, about 3/16 inch wide. There are Eight Screws Holes in this frame.

These are called Skeg Guards, but we are assuming that the purpose is not as a guard, but more as cover-up on the skeg slot as a finishing detail. Your kayak will perform well with, or without, this. CDSKEG

The factory installation method is not documented, but it is assumed to be simply screwed on, maybe glued as well. This is anecdotal information, not proven for all years or variants.

The Skeg Guard for Andromeda and Slipstream kayak models is discontinued. The dimensions of that Skeg Slot Frame are 17 5/8 inches in total length, 2 3/8 inches wide. The interior slot is 15 5/8 inches long, about 3/16 inch wide.
