The Dagger Skeg Pin Bolt s best used as a pivot-pin for the Dagger Blackwater kayak (circa 2005) outfitted with a metal drop down skeg. Bolt is 1.25 inches long + the heads, .25-inch diameter, heads are wider. This might fit other Dagger and Perception kayaks.

This Skeg Pin Bolt (9810042) is NOT universal and will not fit all kayaks, but might be used in some tother brands. This bolt is threaded internally. The mate for the bolt is a small Phillips machine screw with a wide head.

This part is meant to be Press-Fit into the skeg slot molded in the bottom of the kayak hull. The metal blade will pivot on this part.

We do not have any instructions for how to use this part. It is strongly suggested that you use Loc-Tite Blue or similar thread sealer designed to prevent loosening over time from vibration. This pivot pin should fit very snugly into the skeg slot. Expect to use some force. An installation on a hot sunny day might go better than a cold day. CNFSKEG
