USED SALVAGE PART IN GOOD CONDITION.

This is an undocumented New-Old-Stock part from a kayak pro shop hoard. Assumed to be Hobie Part Number 81362001, reported to be 5 1/16 inches long. We have measured this rod as 5 1/2 inches long. Please confirm length from your old part if possible. See more on that below.

Best used as a replacement Rudder Mount Pin Assembly for Hobie Mirage kayaks such as the older Outback, Sport and Tandem. 

Use for older models with the Classic Up-Down rudder, assumed to be all pre-2007 models. Not compatible with the Twist-N-Stow rudder system. Includes 2 split rings. We have measured the rod that you are purchasing now as 5 1/2 inches long.

Research indicates 3 very similar rudder pins:
81361001 Classic version Rudder Mount Pin Mirage 4 1/2 inch.
81362001 Hobie Rudder Mount Pin Assembly Mirage for older Outback, Sport and Tandem reported to be 5 1/16 inches long.
81365001 old style Rudder Keeper Pin Assembly Mirage, assumed to be about 5 inches long, not including rings.

Pins are assumed to be made of Delrin for smooth operation, no lubrication necessary. Hobie could have produced rods inconsistently at many similar lengths, this might indicate that exact length is not critical. We do not know how interchangeable alternative lengths may be. You can certainly cut shorter as needed.
