This tech kit contains two small sensors, one that attaches to the middle of the paddle shaft, the other to the kayak deck (+ a phone deck mount, a charger and leashes). The sensors are linked via Bluetooth to an app on a smart phone (the phone will need to be protected from water in a case). Your paddling motion is recorded to provide a detailed overview of your performance. See alternative photo.
You will enter details into the app; your height, weight, length of your kayak, paddle length and feather angle.
The sensors will record the entry and exit of your paddle blade, the length of each stroke, the depth of your paddle, your cadence + other data points; strokes per minute, stroke count, speed and pace + more. The phone will provide real time corrective feed back that you can see while paddling.
