Kajak Sport Day Hatch Kit (High)

A Kajak Sport 15cm hatch cover (sold separately) is required for this kit!

A unique waterproof quick access day hatch solution for essential gear. This hatch kit can be added to sea kayaks that lack a day hatch. No bulkhead is needed! The easy screw in installation does not require to be assembled. The Day Box can easily be retrofitted to any flat deck surface and it’s compatible with all plastic, composite, and wooden hull kayaks. A 3.5 liter capacity makes it ideal storage for safety gear, snacks, camera, water bottle, and phone or radio. We recommend placing any valuables or electronics in a dry bag inside for safe storing.

The Daybox is available with low or high collar options to ensure best fitting to multiple deck profiles and recesses. The Kajak Sport Daybox has two different collar heights to match different deck profiles. If the kayak has a recess for a day hatch use the Low Day Box option. If the kayak does not have a recess for a day hatch use the High Day Box option, and will need the higher collar for more clearance to the deck.
