The Regular Thigh Brace Pads for P&H kayaks (shown above and right) were for plastic hull P&H kayaks made circa 2004 and Before. Part number 5TGC04. Photo to the right shows the under side of the thighbraces. Each pad was 13.5 inches long by approximately 5.5 inches wide. Molded semi-soft rubber. Each pad had two screws holes approximately 9.5 inches on center. Secured with 4 hex drive mounting screws.

P&H Thigh Brace Grip Set, with notchP&H Thigh Brace Pads, with a notch for skeg slider box, on right thigh grip, were used for P&H 3-layer kayaks made circa 2004 and later. Part number 5TGC04-N. Each pad was 14.25 inches long by approximately 6 inches wide. Molded semi-soft rubber. Each pad had two screws holes approximately 9.25 inches on center. See photo to left.

The older classic style P&H thighbraces were similar and much smaller. Common on early model kayaks such as the Orca. They were approximately 7 inches long by 2 inches wide. Each had five molded screw holes plus a hole with a nut molded in it. (TopKayaker staff has a photo of these on file.)

The three discontinued models above could be replaced with blocks of Close Cell Foam (aka mini-cell), cut to shape and carved. DAP contact cement can be used to glue in place. Suitable mounting hardware might be sourced, or it may be better to use parachute cord (laced through screw holes) to secure foam to the cockpit. Contact Tom about cutting and carving foam as needed.

P&H + Venture Connect Thigh Brace Grip SetThe P&H + Venture Connect Thigh Brace Grips (part number CTB-000, shown to the right) was used on late model P&H and Venture brand kayaks outfitted with the Connect version thigh grips made circa 2008 and later. These Thighbraces might be used on much older classic P&H kayaks as well as Pyranha and Venture kayaks with some custom retrofitting. Each pad was 7.75 inches long by approximately 7.25 inches wide. Made of plastic with a fabric face. Each brace had multiple screws holes. Self-Adhesive Close Cell Foam can easily be used to replace failed fabric padding.
