This is a Skeg Slider TLC Kit that can be used as tune-up parts for your skeg control mechanism, applicable to older and Mk2 skeg systems on P&H kayaks, and possibly Pyranha and Venture kayaks as well.
This kit is universal for both plastic hull and composite hull kayaks. Parts included are related to the .
This Kit Includes: A length of 1/8 inch bungee cord, 1 Shark Bite Fitting, 1 Plastic Tube (about 5/16 of an inch or 7-8mm), 2 Weld Rods, zip-ties, an Allen Tool, and the instructions that would have come with the upgrade kit for plastic hull kayaks but may be somewhat applicable to the parts in the . The Shark Bite Fitting is for composite hull kayaks. The Weld Rods are for plastic hull kayaks. If you end up with extra parts please pass onto other kayakers who may need them or mail back to us.
A Skeg Control Unit and Slider are NOT included! Some blue low friction line or yellow low friction line may be needed. Some kayak skegs may require 1/16 bungee cord.
You will also need adhesive sealant. It is NOT included. 3M 5200 Quick Cure or Soudaflex 40FC is recommended. Source your adhesive sealant at your local hardware store or use EM 89 Please use the information links below:
