This item has been discontinued by Pelican the company that owns the Wilderness Systems brand name.
Currently the only solution we could suggest is the Oval Orbix Hatch Kit (2015 to date) version, but we have not fully researched the viability of substitution on that version for older Wilderness Systems brand kayaks!
Best used as a replacement oval Orbix hatch, for Wilderness Systems kayaks made before 2015. Can be used as a new custom hatch for any make and model of kayak with the allowable deck space.
This is a Recreational retrofit option for replacement of a lost old style Wilderness Systems oval hatch cover. The old WS oval cover was all black with a compass rose pattern, that is no longer made (WS part no. 3305-1107). The old cover was common on the Cape Lookout; 135, 145, 155 and Pamlico; 120, 140, circa 2003-2004. Contact Tom for detailed instructions.
Comes with foam rubber deck gasket. You may be better served by using clear silicone sealant under the rim/flange. Foam rubber gaskets will compress over time and fail. See how to at Installing A Kayak Hatch.
A bin option is not available for this hatch! Hatch cover closes with 2 latches and seals water tight. Orbix hatch kits and replacement parts (hatch latch kits and gaskets) are available separately. This kit is best for replacement of a damaged rim or cover. Deck cut-out approximately 17 1/4 x 11 3/4 inches. Hatch footprint is 19.25 x 13.25 inches. XXX
