Best used as a replacement aftermarket retrofit part to address discontinued skeg parts for kayaks made BOTH before and after 2010. Please Note! To use for kayaks made 2010-2015 you will drill the hole for the black tube larger.
Use As Is for OLDER VERSION kayaks pre 2010 as a replacement skeg control knob with the 3/16 inch diameter hole to go onto a metal slider tube. (SMALL DIAMETER HOLE Knob original part number 3350-0250.)
Use for LATER VERSION kayaks 2010-2015 as a replacement skeg control knob with the 5/16 inch diameter hole to go onto a black pastic slider tube. (LARGE DIAMETER HOLE Knob original part number 30700054.) You will have to DRILL this part with to larger diameter hole, 5/16 inch, using a drill.
Please Note! The oriignal knowbs were fitted for a 10-32 ½ inch stainless steel flat head screw (original part number 3585-1151). This aftermarket retrofit part is made with an 8-32 ½ inch stainless steel flat head screw.

This plastic control knob has a 3/16 inch, SMALL DIAMETER HOLE, for the steel rod to pass though. For kayaks made 2010 to 2015 with a plastic rod in the skeg control slot, LARGE DIAMETER HOLE, you will have to adapt this part with a larger diameter hole 5/16 inch, using a drill.
