The Tarpon Seat Back Assembly, aka Comfort Seating System (CSS) Seat Back (shown bare to the right) is a rigid, hollow plastic seat back support (alternative part no. 18500557). Seat is 13 inches wide by 12 inches tall from pivot point in base. Comes with CSS Padding, adjustment straps and bungee.

Tarpon CCS Seat Back Assembly Fits:

  • Wilderness Systems Tarpon kayaks made before 2009
  • Some Wilderness Systems Ride 135, middle version, circa 2007
  • Perception Search 2007 to date
  • Perception Sport Pescadore, circa 2008 to date
  • Pompano (from West Marine) circa 2012 to date. West Marine did not include this seat back on some of their kayaks. Expect this seat back to fit other kayaks made by Perception and Wilderness systems
  • Use also to upgrade your West Marine Pompano with original seat parts

Seat: Secure seat with the Tarpon Seat Clip, sold separately (image to right). Use the Tarpon Seat Clip as a replacement part or for new custom install (Pompano kayak). The Tarpon Seat Clip comes with optional mounting hardware.

Assembly: Memorize your original seat configuration for replacement. For new installations on Pompano, drill one hole for the seat clip screw. The rubber back washer (inside) seals against water. Tighten the nut with a wrench through open rear hatch. Secure side straps with handle screws that are already on your kayak. Leave pull rings free. Bungee hooks clip behind seat. All original parts. An instruction page is not available, contact us if you need help. If out of stock see the Pompano Seat Kit. CSSOUT
