Finger Board

Called a Grip Index or hand locator, this kit will make a kayak paddle shaft oval on one side for positive reinforcement of hand position, as well as a more comfortable and effective grip. Considered essential to some Eskimo rollers. Place grip index on the control hand side of the paddle shaft, right hand for most paddlers. Placement should be at your optimal grip position. Shrink-tube is included for installation, heat with hair dryer, or heat gun starting at low temps. The grip index can be used on a one-piece shaft with tape. Shrink-wrap is best  used on a two-part paddle. Hand Locator 7081.
