Standard 1/16 in. diameter stainless steel cable. Commonly used for many kayak rudder systems, and specifically for the Sea-Lect Rudder Foot Controls. This is plain cable, no eyelets! (K748022) While this type of cable is common on most makes and models of kayak it does not have an eye on the end. If you need an eyelet on the end please see the generic rudder cables kit. (Eyelets are not available separately and can not be put on with hand tools.) (Related Sea-Lect part numbers K748025-FT, K748022, K748025).
Tools needed: Rudder Cable Crimper Cutter Tool, or... Heavy-duty wire cutters and a large size Vice Grips will do just fine.
Use cable swages (sold in four packs or hundred packs) to secure this cable to your rudder system. See the Thimble and Shackle Set to use thimbles and shackles on the stern end connection to the rudder wings or possibly the foot controls. Same wire as Hobie Cat part number 20310, get about one foot and cable swages (sold in four packs or two packs).
