The Sea-Lect Designs Medium Long Pin. Three inch pin! 1/4 inch must be exposed for the ring. Measure your rudder bracket carefully! The TruCourse Rudder Assembly is a radical new kayak rudder system with unique practical and high-performance features. The multi-position blade enables kayakers to adjust rudder depth to suit conditions. The foil-shaped blade slices through the water with minimum drag. It is very lightweight. The rudder weighs only 1.4 pounds. The rudder pulls up and slips forward when not in use. Quiet when pulled up. No loud clunk to chase away the fish and wildlife when coming into shallow water. Tough, durable engineered injection molded polymer and stainless steel components ensure top performance and reliability. (Sea-Lect part number K748150-3)
A rudder lifting rope is not included! Some 3/16 Inch, aka 4mm Deck Line and a Clam Cleat may be needed for your retrofit.
Found on some Jackson kayaks and Advanced Elements kayaks (same as AdvancedTrak Rudder). Can be retrofit to many kayaks designed for mid-pin rudder. Fits Aquaterra kayaks, outfitted with the Chinook Casting, such as the Prism and Spectrum as well as the Aquaterra Sea Lion too, seems to be a fit for the Perception Illusion. The pin on this rudder might be too short for Perception made in the early part of the 21st century, such as the Carolina. This option might be the only fit for the Current Designs Kestral 140 OC. Might be a good option for the ClearWater Design Georgian Bay sea kayak. This is a Rudder Assembly Only (best for a custom rudder, an upgrade or replacement of an older rudder). Cables and foot controls are not included.
