Caretta Rudder Block

Best used as a replacement Rudder Block for the Perception Caretta tandem kayak with a Slope Stern, circa 2002. Contact us as needed. RBAP

The block is ¾ inch thick. The shorter section that receives the pintle (pivot pin) is almost 3 inches, at 2 15/16 inches. The maximum lengh is 4 15/16 inches. Maximun width is 2 7/16 inches.

There are four screws that pass through this block. The Caretta rudder body will have 6 screws, not including the pivot screw that secures the blade. Only four of the six screws pass through this block. The narrow top section is 1 1/4 inches wide and has two holes for the rudder rope to pass through. The hole for the rudder pin is 1/4 inch diameter.
