3.5 lb Galvanized Folding Anchor, 70 feet of line (3/16 parachute cord), brass clip for bow attachment, comes in a durable case with plastic zipper, brass keeper clip, and grommet drain hole.
Made in USA.
Suitable for divers, fishing, snorkeling, swimming, resting and can accommodate several kayaks at a time. For use in 25 to 35 feet of water or add more line for deeper depths. The 3.5 pound anchor is best for divers. Alternatively our 1.5 pound anchor is best for fishing. Anchor notes: It is not the size of the anchor that holds the boat. It is the length of the line. The longer the line, the better the hold. The line does not need to be thick rope or chain; it only has to be strong enough to handle the wind and currents. Both sizes are suitable for fishing and diving, the larger more suited for diving and multiple boats, while the smaller one for fishing and single boats. My suggestion for a rope "upgrade" would be 1/2" to 1/4" hollow core braided polypro rope, yellow, available at many hardware stores in 100 foot lengths. Anchors with a “Shackle Pin” (looks like a horse shoe with a bolt closing the open end) should be secured with a wire. Same as Hobie part number 80035A.
See Making an Eye Slice for information on creating loops in hollow core rope for brass snaps and securing shackle pins.
