Backrest Strap Adaptor Kit

For use with Sit-on-Top kayaks. Convert your backrest outfitted with 1½ inch plastic buckles (one male, one female) into a brass clip style seat allowing you to attach to a pair of strap eyes (right and left) behind the seat. (Sometimes called a Fit Kit or Jump Seat Clips.) Originally designed to allow installation of a backrest in the center seat of a Malibu Two and many similar tandem kayaks, for solo paddling. This adapter will help you put an assortment of older Ocean Kayak style backrests (made 2004 and before) on a wide assortment of kayaks by all other makers. The Backrest Strap adapter can also double as a cargo strap, buckled together, if pairs of strap eyes are strategically located in cargo areas. Each strap half measures maximum 15 inches (Put together = 30 inches in total length).
