This is a used Short Pin style rudder that has been rebuilt. With a new Rudder Block and Pin. It is coming with the original 5mm braided nylon cord (not shown) that may, or may not, be the right length for your kayak. The knots are pre-tied, use the links below for more information.

Rudder Dimensions: The Rudder blade is about 17 inches long (from base of the rudder body to blade tip), 3 inches wide. The blade is foil shape in cross section (not flat stock). Tiller wings and blade are made of anodized aluminum, plastic central 3-screw block and plastic pulley wheel. Stainless steel mounting pin is 3/8 inch diameter by 1 13/16 inches long.

Secures with a set screw already on your kayak.

How to tie the double fisherman’s knot. Linking the ends of ropes with a grip knot on a rudder lift line.
How to tie the triple overhand knot. Make a grip knot on a rudder lift line (not to join two ropes).
