For new installations where handles have not been before use the Handle Hardware Pack only if you can reach inside the kayak.
For new installation of handles, where you cannot reach inside, use two rivets and two ¾ inch stainless steel washers, per handle. Rivets and washers are available in single quantity and as bulk pack packs in our Hardware department.
If custom installing new handles, as side grips on a sit-on-top kayak, carefully find the center balance point before drilling any holes. Also check the location to make sure the handle is not in the way of your paddle stroke, or presents a problem during deep-water re-entry.
