Best use as a replacement for a broken deck fitting on a Bic or Tahe kayak (related part number 30977). The typically come with strong cordage and are sold as Bic D-Rings. The fitting is commonly secured to the deck with a pointed screw (the screw is good for a sit-on kayak, not so much for a sit-in kayak, use alternative hardware as needed). Sold as one fitting and one screw.
Can used in multiple ways:
Use as deck fittings for sit-on-top kayak seats and perimeter lines, such as those on the .
Use as cargo strap fittings or safety side ropes, such as those on the tandem.
Use as side fittings and perimeter deck lines, such as those on the .
Can be used as fittings to create intersections for similar to the Star Cleat.
Compatible with; 4mm Deck Rigging Line, 3/16 inch Bungee Cord and Parachute Cord. Each fitting has a place for two separate ropes. See the photo of the Bic D-Rings and the kayaks above. A rope can pass around the center of the fitting, where the screw is, following the same path as the light color cord loop. A second rope can pass through the tunnel like portion of the fitting (not shown in the photo of the Bic D-Rings).
