North Water Pig Tail

Tow boats or swimmers to shore with this tubular webbing bungee tow. Extends from 24 to 40 inches. The stainless steel D-ring attaches to a Quick Release Belt, on the back of a PFD, or into a separate harness. Clip the carabiner to the front of the PFD for easy access. A Pig Tail can be helpful in a pinned or broached situation.

A victim can often help in their own extrication by clipping the end of the throw line into their Pig Tail carabiner. Giving the rescuer a line to the back of the victim’s PFD can greatly increases the options in how to carry out the rescue. If you’re PFD does not have a quick-release belt it can be clipped to a stand alone Quick Relese Belt or Harness.
