Two part set, back cushion and bottom cushion. Best used as a replacement seat back and bottom pad set for Aquaterra-Perception kayaks circa 1999.
Made as a comfort upgrade option for Older Aquaterra Kayaks (20th century - 1990s) and Perception (circa early 21st century -1st few years).
The Padded Seat Back Cover straps on to a hollow molded plastic seat back (see photo to right, photo link and video below) about 10 inches high. Strip off all the old padding and fabric cover for the best results. All in one, padding and cover. The Seat Back Pad is 14 by 8 inches. See a Photo of the Strap Detail.
The Seat Bottom Pad straps onto the bar under the seat bottom assembly (aka seat pan) both just in front of and just behind the seat pan. Strip off any thick padding for the best results. Should be OK over a thin 1/4 inch self adhesive pad. The Seat Bottom Pad is 15 wide by 14 inches front to back.
This set is only compatible with older Perception and Aquaterra sit-in-side kayaks with center bar and a seat back as seen above, or in the Aquaterra - Perception Classic Seat Back Video, and those outfitted with the Black Neoprene Fabric Slip Cover with the Perception Logo or the Harmony Back Pad, aka Surf to Summit Seat Back Pad (shown to the left). An alternative version of this seat pad, with the Perception Logo molded onto it, set may have been secured with bungee cords.
