This product has become very difficult to source now that kayak manufactures recycle their scrap pieces with 3rd party recycle services.
The available stock is odd shapes and sizes and may be cut from a used kayak, defective kayak or cut-outs from hatch holes. Call 603-323-6016 with questions. Some pieces will have breather vents or drill holes on the edge!
Each patch is approximately 12 square inches. Odd pieces about 3 x 4 inches, or a bit larger. Expect some curvature in shape (it will Weld Flat!). There is little to no choice of the size and shape you will get. Call 603-323-6016 with questions or to ask for bigger pieces.
Sold in LIMITED assorted colors. One patch will typically repair a drag hole, a complex pattern of cracks or a hole (best used for any hole more than a quarter of an inch across). Patch material is linear polyethylene compatible with most makes and models of rotationally molded kayaks (such as Cobra, Ocean Kayak, Necky, Perception, Wilderness Systems and Dagger). Cross Link poly cannot be welded (such as On The Edge brand kayaks). Blow molded kayaks typically cannot be welded (such as Prijon brand kayaks). Some thermoform kayaks CAN be welded. Expect some variation of size and shape. Patch might have some contour, shapes are mostly rectangular, approximately 3x4 inches, odd shape. Patch materials in stock now are common colors. Colors are subject to change and could be multi-color speckled! (Or may be an approximation of the tone, shade or color.) Do not expect colors to match your existing hull!
