Preferred storage for kayaks is hanging them on their side, and this rack does it well. Includes storage loops for two paddles, one over each kayak. See also "Storing Your Sit-on-top Kayak" article on our site. The 2-Kayak Hanger strap circumference is 6 foot 6 inches maximum. Wide Tandem kayaks may NOT fit. Measure all the way around the kayak at the front seat and back seat to determine if this rack will fit your kayaks. Use a rope or rack strap around boat, then measure it with tape measure. Some wide solo kayaks may not fit as well. Measure FIRST.
Can be used to store surfboards, wave skis, white water kayaks, one man outriggers, sit-in & sit-on kayaks of all types. (Maybe also ladders and long tools.) Not necessarily suitable for canoes.
