Use with rudder cables. Thimbles are commonly found on surf skis and many kayaks outfitted with rudders. They are often used to secure cable to webbing strap. For wire diameter 1/16 - 3/32 in A. Thimble is 11/16 in. inside length B, inside wide 3/8 C, 7/8 in. long D, 3/16 inch thick. Can be used with a shackle. See Thimbles diagram for dims ABCD. Kit contains TWO Thimbles.
Some Wilderness Systems kayaks (and other brands) are outfitted with double eyelet rudder cables. Use the Thimble and Shackle Set on the stern end to connect cables to the rudder wings. Use the eyelet to fasten to the foot brace rail.
Some surf skis utilize both Stainless Steel Thimbles and Rudder Shackles.
