The 48 Inch End Bag is best used for kayak or canoe flotation. It has a 3D vertical nose, four isolated tie-in points, an inflation hose with a twist valve and a rapid deflation dump valve. This is the bag of choice for short canoe playboats (9-12 feet) and whitewater tandem canoes. Fits tandem and solo recreational kayaks and other boats with large inside space. May fit into odd spaces of some sit-on-top kayaks. Most recreational kayaks do not have bulkheads. This can leave them vulnerable to great quantities of bilge water after a capsize. Select a size that will fit in front of your feet and secure it in place. Also, select a size that will fit behind the seat, the seat will hold it in place. Older kayaks, both sit-on and sit-in, may have the potential to leak, add float bags for an extra margin of safety. This bag is for recreational kayaks, or white water canoes, but can be used in day touring and sit-on-top kayaks, front or back, as will fit.
