Neoprene Emergency Hatch Cover is best used to fit older Wilderness Systems outfitted with an oval hatch rim, circa 2000 to 2004, for kayak models. See Fits details, below. This is an emergency hatch cover only. It will never seal like your original rubber cover that fit like Tupperware. Carry as a spare in your emergency kit. When used as an emergency hatch cover it is best to finish your trip asap and replace with the proper rubber hatch cover; (see link below).

Note: This emergency cover will not fit the other Wilderness Systems kayaks, and is not expected to be a match to other brands. Cover may be labeled Cape Lookout Stern.
It is best to retrofit your kayak with a proper Hatch ASAP. Sea kayakers will want to retrofit with a Similar Rubber Hatch Kit (harder to install, but better end results). Recreational paddlers will want to retrofit with a Similar Shape Deck Plate Hatch Kit (easier to install, but not as water tight). This will be a technical challenge requiring extra parts and some skill with tools. Contact Tom at 603-323-6016 for information on how to do this.
