This kit can be used to replace a set (pair) of cargo hatch straps common on many kayaks. The parts and instructions are geared to older Wilderness Systems kayaks, Perception, Aquaterra and Necky brand kayaks, circa 1990s, but apply to many makes and models of kayak, both new and old. Best used to secure to existing deck fittings such as Strap Eyes or Footmans Loops. This kit is identical to Harmony part number 8070019.
The contents of this kit can be used in any way you see fit, for any purpose. Kit Contents: 6 feet of 1 inch webbing strap, 2 1-inch side release buckles, 6 1-inch tri-glides and instructions. No Sewing Needed! Tools Needed: Sharp knife or scissors, lighter or candle, possibly an awl, or Phillips screwdriver. For Ocean Kayak brand hatches please select the 1 1/2 inch Strap Kit.
