Best used as a hatch kit for new install, or as a replacement hatch cover and bag for 5 Inch Sea-Dog Quarter Turn Hatch. Sea-Dog and Sea-Lect are the same company. The removable cat bag holds your goodies. Bag is not water proof. Instructions are included. Cover, rim, keeper string, fasteners and gasket are included. Avoid installing in low spots such as tank and cargo wells. Can be used as a complete re-install kit for some Wilderness Systems kayaks, such as older versions of the Pungo.
This kit was changed by Harmony, aka Perception, from the Viking Version Hatch Kit to the Sea-Dog Version Hatch Kit (Alternative part numbers: Harmony 8025319, Sea-Dog 336155, Sea-Lect K336355-1). The Cat Bag and hardware did not change.
Rim outside diameter is 6 and 3/4 inches. Lid is 5 1/2 inches in diameter. Deck cut-out 5 3/8 inches. Screw holes, accross, 6 1/8 inches on center. Most five inch screw hatches have the same cut-out template and six bolt pattern. While the lids from one brand of hatch will not fit the rim of another brand hatch, the large hole and six small screw holes on your kayak deck will accept most rims for five inch screw-in hatch of assorted brands. If the lid does not fit, remove the old rim and replace it with the new rim.
