Add a rod holder to your kayak and turn it into an angler model. Any kayak can be a fishing kayak. In fact that is what the manufacture does, they take a stock kayak for general purpose, add some kayak fishing stuff and call it an angler. With a fishing pole holder you can troll, paddle and fish at the same time. Flush mount rod holders are deeply sunk into the deck of the kayak. The butt of the pole slips into the mount, below deck. Nothing to loose or snag on, however it will decrease internal storage space. Deck mounted rod holders snap into a mount secured on the deck of the kayak. They can pivot to any direction with a great degree of articulation. Place a rod holder in reach, forward of the cockpit, to keep the pole in sight and for easy access. Place a rod holder just aft of the seat to keep the pole out of the way. See SlideTrax and related Track Items.
