Twin fin set for the Dagger Crazy-88 and Kingpin–Icon sit-in-side whitewater surf kayaks. Best used as replacement parts, or to add fins to the Dagger Crazy 88 or Kingpin Icon kayaks. Fins are 5 1/4 inches by 2 1/8 inches. Fins can be adjusted forward and aft by small increments. Your kayak must have 2 fin boxes molded into the hull of your kayak (7 7/8 x 3/4 in.) and each box must be equipped with two screws and screw holes (6.74 inches on center).
Each fin (aka skeg) bolts onto the 4-hole fin plate with two of the screws. Each skeg assembly bolts onto the hull of the kayak with 2 machine screws (not included) taken from the hull of your kayak, or from a hardware store.
Cover plates do not have screw holes for the fins (shown in photo above). Optional cover plates are used when fins are not wanted on the hull to fill the recess. They are also called Fin Box Covers and have only 2 holes. The cover plates can be transformed into fin plates. Fin Plates with multiple holes can be used as cover plates. This type of skeg might also be common on kite boards and wake boards.
Cover plates and Fin Plates are 7 7/8 inches long, 3/4 inches wide and 1/4 inch thick, made of black plastic. Cover plates or Fin Plates can be fabricated with SeaBoard.
