Best used as rear replacement back band straps for Confluence brand white water kayaks: Dagger and Wave Sport. Can be used on Perception and Wilderness Systems with a minor modification. The ten inch strap is three quarters of an inch wide. Comes with male buckles that mate with the female buckles already on the the back band. This strap set has a folded and sewn ends (NO screw hole). It is very easy to make screw holes, see the video links.
Note! Two types of ITW Nexus buckles are found on these kayaks. They are not interchangeable.
Some back band buckles are marked TSR 75. It is assumed these TSR 75 are common on Wilderness Systems kayaks made before 2013, and some kayaks made circa 2016 to 2018 mostly Dagger and Perception. There are 4 tiny dividers in the TSR 75 female part.
Other buckles are marked Nexus/A (followed by a 2 digit number), presumed to be common on kayaks made after 2013 and some kayaks made 2016 to date mostly Wilderness Systems. The Nexus/A male has four prongs (two center prongs very close), there are two tiny dividers in the female Nexus/A. This Nexus/A style of buckle is often called the World Side Release or WSR. (Or called deviation buckle by Confluence.) Use link to A version.
Use the Ask Tom link above if necessary. You are purchasing a strap set with the TSR 75 version buckles shown to right!
The 10 inch straps are often used as the upper straps for white water kayaks (not common on touring kayaks, but workable). Confluence back bands typically have 1 lower rear strap (connects to seat bottom) and two upper rear straps (connects to cockpit coaming). These are not to be confused with the main support strap (one inch wide) in a forward orientation. Sold as a pair. Alternative Confluence part numbers 9800473 and 15440024 has no bearing on buckle type.
