Mid Pin rudder bracket. Sometimes referred to as a Gudgeon, this is best used for replacement of a damaged or bent rudder bracket on a Wilderness Systems kayak made before 2009. It can also be used to install some non-Wilderness Systems rudder kits and kayaks with a flat stern, as well as many modern Wilderness Systems kayak made in or after 2010, commony outfitted with a plastic BTS bracket.

Mounting hardware is NOT included! See The Bolts and Lock Washers for WS rudder if you should need these bits.

New Install? You may have to remove and discard any filler screws that may be in the bolt holes of Wilderness Systems brand kayaks.

Bolt holes in the bracket are ¾ of an inch on center, one hole oval to accommodate variations. Holes for ruder pin are 3/8 inch dia., overall size is 2 3/8 inches long by 1 5/8 inches high, by 1 inch wide. Made of heavy bent steel bar stock, stamped T-FAB, with a welded pin.
