Best used as a replacement or secondary base plate for the Aqua Meter Sailor II compass. You can replace a cracked or missing base, add a base to a 2nd kayak and use the same compass, or fabricate a custom strap-on compass base. Compass body (not included) snaps onto the base plate. Base Plate is 4 3/16 inches in diameter with four mounting holes for small screws. Directions are not included, but install is simple. Comes with foam rubber gasket(s) that are not necessary for kayaks (and the adhesive could be compromised on this new-old stock).
